¹⁰ Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son to be the sacrifice that would atone for our sins. ¹¹ Beloved, if that’s how God loved us, we ought to love one another in the same way. ¹² Nobody has ever seen God. If we love one another, God abides in us and his love is completed in us.
